Sketchy Winter

My girlfriend Jennifer's family is having a Round Robin for Christmas(still not really sure what that is! :) )so I drew this quick 5-10 minute sketch to contribute. Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas!

Just thought I'd send out some holiday cheer this month with an old Santa Claus greeting card I did a few years ago. They were to be sold to various casinos in Las Vegas. Sometimes even Santa needs to kick back and relax, even if it involves gambling. :) Happy Holidays, everyone!

Bad, Bad Putty Tat

This piece is some old tattoo flash I hand drew, then today decided to vectorize it to clean it up a bit. Don't pet that kitty...

Look Out!

Hey there boys and girls, yet another older piece. This one's only about two years old, so I think it still holds up. It was the back cover for a card game set I illustrated. I also did all of the concept designs for the the other main characters in the game. It's a bit more high-fantasy realism than my normal style, but it was really fun and satisfying breaking out of the confines of my style.

Ken needs love

This is a piece from that t-shirt line awhile back(look at earlier posts)that I threw some red onto just to give it a bit more mood, as well as somewhat more retro. I dig this one and hope you do too. :)

My name is...

Lately I've been digging up old pieces I drew in B&W years back and giving them a quick color splash in Photoshop. I really like to breathe new life into this stuff. This one of Prince I did years ago was just screaming for some flare. Get funky.

Dragon with Orb of Power

Hey everyone. In case you didn't know, my pal and co-worker Edwin Rosell(Dog & Pony Show in my links) just went head to head in an hour long Iron Chef-like art battle. It was a tag team match: Ed and I vs. Mike Lopez and Carlos D'Anda at Wildstorm(part of DC Comics). It's posted on their blog at http://www.gelatometti2.blogspot.com/ if you wanna peep. We got destroyed! Of course this was our first battle and they are well seasoned, but we will not lie down. We are ready for part II, baby! Anyway, here's an old tattoo design I did in pen & ink and colored pencil, then today I just felt like sprucing it up a bit in Photoshop. Enjoy.

Demanding Cameron

Here's a quick sketch I did of my girlfriend Jennifer's son, Cameron. He's a fun little guy and I love him, though he can be a handful sometimes! :) Did this with a pen on paper and colored roughly in Photoshop. You're immortalized now, Cammy! Hehehe.

Yippee! Old stuff!

I just dug up a couple Wetworks covers I did in 1996 I think. I'm still happy with some of it, even though I can pick it to shreds critique-wise. Really brings back the memories.

Turf Wars

Good morning, folks. Just came across this old album cover I collaborated on with my pal Merv. Back when I first moved to NYC, seems so long ago. It was some sort of trance/jungle/hiphop mash-up with various DJs if I remember correctly. I hand drew the graffiti-ish logo and Merv did the graphic design. I think it was rather nice for one of the first album covers we did. Happy Labor Day! :)

Birthday post

Hey ya'll, it's my B-Day today. Thought I'd show this piece that I drew for my friends Merv and Janet and their daughter Dylan. I just finished coloring it in Photoshop and am sending it to them as a surprise, hope they enjoy. It's not the best colors, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Happy Birthday to me!

Janet Jewelry!

Two posts in one day! Hell must be chilly right now. Anyway, this is a small mascot/logo I did for my friend Janet Masamitsu in NYC. As you can tell it is on her storefront in midtown Manhattan, so if you are in the neighborhood, check it out. She creates the best and most original silver jewelry out there, and the celebs can't get enough! You can also purchase her products at http://www.janetjewelry.com/. Laters.

Ludacris

I was digging Ludacris for a few months so I figured I'd do a little humorous homage. He's kinda easy to caricaturize, very strong features. This was also one of the few washes I've done, maybe paints next? Who knows.

Stuff Magazine Illo

This is an odd illustration I did for Stuff magazine. Everytime I do a piece for them or Maxim it's something off the wall. Generic superheroes in their undies. Funny stuff! What's the punchline?

Another Tshirt design

Here's one more from the high-contrast style line.

New Tshirt design

It's been a long time since my first test. I had been consumed with finishing this large tshirt line for a company in Queens, NY. Now that I'm finally done, here's one of the pieces in the line. It's a high-contrast style of work that I had never done before, it was interesting and the work came out pretty nice. Take a peek...
